Botanica Waterfront

FIRST IN, BEST ADDRESSED 18/03/2003

If you’ve driven down Paluma Rd recently, you’ll have noticed that work is well underway on Airlie’s only waterfront land subdivision, Botanica. Civdec, who recently completed the Loop Road in Airlie Beach, are currently preparing the 2 kilometre long Botanica Drive, which, when finished, will wind through gently rolling countryside, past a landscaped water feature and birdlife breeding area, walking trail, through a residents only stone entry statement, an avenue of majestic 2 metre tall triangle palms and finally onto the lots themselves …and some of the most spectacular water views in the Whitsundays. The developers, Ralph and Janet Hogan, have spared no expense when it comes to the finishing touches.

“We’ve commissioned hand made sandstone plaques to display lot numbers which will be incorporated into individual stone letterboxes,” says owner, Janet Hogan. “The street lights are the most contemporary, upmarket design currently available in Australia and imported from Belgium. And the landscaping includes 200 advanced triangle palms. So as you drive home at the end of the day, it will be through a grand avenue of palms. The beauty of living in Botanica is that you are so close to Airlie yet totally surrounded by peace and tranquillity.”

Christie Leet of Ray White, elaborates. “The wonderful thing about owning waterfront land so close to town with a minimal 5 metre esplanade is knowing that it is going up in value faster than any other type of real estate. It’s a great lifestyle choice but it also makes a lot of sense from an investment point of view.”

The Hogans will also be living on the estate and are currently constructing their own home which is expected to be finished by August. In the meantime, they are hard at work creating what they believe will be the ultimate seaside address.

With just one waterfront lot being offered at the special off the plan price of $395,000 plus a limited number of view lots starting at $230,000, you can still be “first in, best addressed” but you’ll have to be quick.
